GE Licensed PG6581B Gas Turbine Series of Power Plant 42MW to 50MW from China

Our producer is the sole manufacturer of heavy-duty gas turbine in China. The first Chinese gas turbine set for power plant was made here in early 1960â€?/st1:chmetcnv>s,and then it turned out 23MW gas generating set in 1970â€?/st1:chmetcnv>s. From this time on, with state investment and its own enlargement, it has been developed and formed a completed capability of research, design, manufacturing and package of heavy-duty gas turbine generating set. Since 1980â€?/st1:chmetcnv>s, the company has built a MA relationship with GE Co.(USA) of MS6001B gas turbine co-production. Meanwhile, it also got the technology license from Brush Ltd. (UK) for air-cooled brushless generator manufacturing. At present, the company can produce the updated PG6581B gas turbine.

    Except for the component kits (turbine rotor, nozzles, combustion system and control panel) and some accessories, which are provided by GE according to MA Agreement, other parts are all made in our workshop in line with GE drawings and documents. These package units are run in test stand and all test data records are proven by GE before ex-works. By these advanced technology, the company is able to provide packaged gas turbine generating sets with advanced level in the world.

    We have been developing new model PG6561B-L for burning low BTU blast furnace gas or gas from coal mine in metallurgy and coal industry, so that energy will be saved and environment will be improved. GE’s IGCC technology is used in this model of gas turbine.

    Up to now, the company has provided more then tens gas turbine generating sets for customers in Henan, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Tianjing, Shanxi, Liaoning, Jilin and Shandong in China, and also exported to Middle East and Africa. They were used for base and peak load, combined-cycle power plant. As power EPC contractor and supplier, we also have got more experience on manufacturing, installation, commissioning, operating and inspection as well as overhaul. Hence, completed service including installation, commissioning, operating and operator training, inspection and overhaul are available on demand.

2�SPAN lang=EN-US>MS6001B Gas Turbine Generating Set

    It is a kind of packaged unit with a common base and four major compartments: control, gas turbine, load gearbox and generator compartments. It can be arranged outdoor or indoor. The gas turbine control panel, generator control panel and protection panel, motor control center are arranged in the control compartment. Cabinets of generator neutral point and outgoing-line are set at both sides of generator. The unit has an enclosure with necessary ventilation, lighting and fire-fighting system. Air conditioning is set for control compartment.

    1.MS6001B Gas Turbine

    MS6001B gas turbine consists mainly of air inlet system, compressor, combustor, turbine, exhaust system, accessory system and control system, etc.

    Air enters compressor through the inlet air filters and silencers. The compressed air then, gets into combustors and mixed with fuel, which is ejected by fuel nozzles in the combustors. The fuel and compressed air are burnt to produce high-pressure and high-temperature gas, and then the gas expands in turbine to generate power. After expansion, it exhausts to atmosphere through exhaust system (or to HRSG).

2.Generator

    It is a kind of 3 phase synchronous generator, with air-cooling closed cycle ventilation. The air cooler is set at top of stator. (Refer to Fig.2)

The rotor winding adopts direct inner cooling in conductor. Insulation of both stator and rotor are F class.

    Exciter is brushless exciting and is equipped with a high accuracy AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator). So that the power factor and voltage can be controlled, adjusted and protected.

3.Gas-Steam Combined Cycle

    Gas turbine can be operated both in simple and in combined cycle. In the first, the expanded gas with higher temperature is exhausted to atmosphere directly, while in combined cycle, the exhausted gas will get into HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) to produce steam, the steam then, enters a steam turbine for generating power and/or cogeneration. Arrangements for combined cycle are S106B S206B consists of one MS6001B, one HRSG and one steam turbine. S206B consists of two MS6001B, two HRSG and one steam turbine.

Gas-steam combined cycle has many advantages, mainly as follows:

1) It is clean power plant without ash and little pollution. Good environment can be got.

2) High thermal efficiency. The efficiency of S106B plants can be 47%.

3) Less installation area.

4) Less tap water. Usually, water flow is one of third for steam turbine power plant with same output.

5) Operation is flexible. Start or shutdown is fast. It can be used for base or peak load. It only takes 16 min from start to full load.

6) Short construction time and quick repayment.

7) High automation and less staffs.

8) Fuel variability, such as natural gas, distillate oil, heavy oil and low BTU gas (blast furnace gas, gas from coal mine, coal gasified gas etc.).

9) Economic investment. Investment of combined cycle is about RMB 4000Yuan/KW.

    In order to meet the customer’s requirements on steam turbines generating sets in combined cycle power plant, we design and produce 6MW-50MW steam turbines and generators with different parameters for supply electric power and/or steam heating.
