The cooling water system is designed for using normal fresh water with corrosion inhibitor, in order to prevent encrustation and corrosion attack.

3.3 FUEL OIL SYSTEM
The engine fuel oil system is designed for a reliable combustion of Heavy Fuel Oil
as well as Diesel Fuel Oil.
- FO filter : Auto filter
- FO viscosity controller: With FO heater, control panel
- FO booster pump : Screw type, electric motor driven
- FO mixing tank : Cylindrical, with de-gas v/v
- FO supply pump : Screw type, electric motor driven
- Fuel piping & lines : Heat traced
- FO service tank : With steam heating coil, level gauge
- Fuel oil treatment unit: The fuel oil treatment unit is designed for proper cleaning of heavy fuel oil considering total fuel consumption of D/G set.
3.4 LUBRICATING SYSTEM
The engine has its own internal lubricating oil system with wet type oil sump, which supplies lubricating oil to all moving parts for lubricating as well as cooling.
- Lube oil filter : Duplex type
- Lube oil pump : Engine driven, mounted on engine
- Lube oil cooler : Plate type
- Pre-lubricating pump: Electric Motor driven
3.5 COMPRESSED AIR SYSTEM
Starting air motor is installed in the side of the engine and drives flywheel through gears. The motor is operated by compressed air from air receiver after pressure regulation valve.
- Engine starting air motor: Compressed air source
- Air pressure regulation valve with start solenoid
- Air compressor : Electric Motor, 30 bar
- Air receiver : Cylindrical, 30 bar
3.6 COOLING WATER SYSTEM
The engine cooling water system consists of two cooling water circuits, which are Low temperature (LT) and High temperature (HT) water circuits. The heat transfer to engine cooling water is discharged to atmosphere by external cooling radiator.
Low temperature water circuit comprises;
- LTCW pump : Engine driven, mounted on engine
- Charge air cooler : Mounted on engine
- Lubricating oil cooler: Plate type, mounted on engine
- Radiator : Fin Tube Type
- CW expansion tank : With level gauge
High temperature water circuit comprises;
- HTCW pump : Engine driven, mounted on engine
- Engine water jackets: Mounted on engine and cylinder heads
- Thermostatic valve : Mounted on engine cooling unit
3.7 INTAKE AIR AND EXHAUST GAS SYSTEM
The air required for combustion is taken from enclosure inside through a filter fitted on the turbocharger. Exhaust gas of the engine flows out from turbocharger to atmosphere via expansion joint, silencer and exhaust gas boiler to chimney.
- Intake air filter : Mounted on the turbocharger
- Exhaust gas silencer: Noise absorption Type
- Exhaust gas boiler unit: Outside container
3.8 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

3.8.2 GENERATOR BREAKER PANEL
Generator breaker panel will be metal-enclosed, free-standing type with draw-out type breaker suitable for indoor installation. This switchgear located inside the gen-set unit container. The breaker will be 3-pole with suitable rating of continuous current rating and interrupting rating respectively.

(3) Circuit breaker: Air Circuit Breaker
