I. Control Panel Specification
1. General
Deepsea 5510 auto controller, as the control core of ZGDK-IX Control Panel, could monitor real time operation status. Users could control the generator start and stop by Deepsea 5510, with the functions of paralleling operation and auto protection. It will send alarm signal when generator set goes wrong and severe cases could stop the operation automatically.
2. Working condition

3. Composition and function

Deepsea 5510 diesel generator set auto controller
Checking the unit data by LCD: commercial power three-phase voltage (wire\phase), generation three-phase voltage (wire\phase), engine three-phase voltage, three-phase current, battery voltage, frequency, speed, oil pressure, power factor, water temperature, operation time, fuel level, troubleshooting reasons, etc.
Start and stop the engine by buttons on controller
Achievement of auto protection and failure testing: high water temperature, over-speed, high three-phase voltage, low three-phase voltage, over-load, failure start, over-frequency, under-frequency, low oil level alarm shutdown, low battery voltage alarm and user-defined alarm
Automatic synchronizing monitoring, achievement of parallel operation, connecting with power grid as well as among units, real time monitoring and programming by RS 485 and P180 communication interfaces.
Emergency stop button
Press “Emergency stop�?button with “Emergency stop�?can immediately stop the engine in abnormal situation.
Interrupting breaker, high-power start relay, etc.
 
 
4. Features
 4.1 Control panel has small dimension and reliable performance, easy for operation; connection is clear and simple, easy for detection.
 4.2 Automatic self-detection and protection, to ensure the engine running safely and stable.
 4.3 Superior performance, economical and practical.
 4.4 Storage battery float charging unit can charge the storage battery with commercial power.
5. Operation specification
  5.1 Check coolant level, oil level, fuel level, as well as looseness of unit mechanical fasteners and grounding before starting the unit.
  5.2 Close the power and provide DC power to controller for initialization, after which the indicating light over the “Shutdown�?button illuminates.
  5.3 Press “Start�?button, the indicating light over the “Start�?button illuminates, and unit starts. Controller could automatically re-start delayed with non-success of one start; while it could also automatically be locked alarm with failure of three times of start.
  5.4 After unit starts, when electrical parameters conform to supply demand, the supply indicating light on controller illuminates automatically. Then, the self-owned charging motor begins to charge storage battery, unit automatically stops when pressing “Shutdown�?button.
  5.5 If the set goes wrong in operation process, the malfunction description will be shown on LCD of controller and delayed at the same time. If malfunction disappears in delayed process, controller will be reset automatically; otherwise, the unit would stop with automatic alarm. The operating staff will press “Stop�?button for reset after removing troubleshooting according to indication of malfunction.
  5.6 Controller automatically monitors remote start signal under selection of auto station. The unit will automatically delayed start when monitoring remote start signal; while the unit return to automatic stand-by status when remote start signal disappears in delayed time. After that, the unit auto start begins to operate and unit supplies power. When remote start signal disappears, the supply indicating light goes out after recognition of delayed time, the unit comes into coolant shutdown automatically.
  5.7 When controller is in automatic state, DSE5510 will do synchronizing test automatically after remote start. When reaching in synchronizing status, controller will control the automatic close, achieving parallel operation of power grid and other units. When controller is in manual status, controller will do synchronizing test automatically after pressing manual CLOSE button . When reaching in synchronizing status, controller will achieve parallel operation of power grid and other units, and separate brakes after pressing OPEN button.
  5.8 There are two functions of peak regulation and non-peak regulation under automatic condition. When user inputs No.1 interface, the remote starting set is in non-peak regulation condition, many sets distribute loads averagely; while user inputs No.2 interface, the remote starting set is in peak regulation condition. The standby set stops operation as the load of each set is less than 30%; the standby set starts and goes into parallel operation as the load of each set is more than 80%.
 CAUTION: When connecting storage battery electrical power to start motor, first connect positive source, then the negative source. When disconnecting electrical power, first disconnect negative source, then the positive source.
 WARNING: Forbid the unauthorized personnel to modify control panel parameter and circuit without permission; otherwise, we won’t be responsible for entire loss.
 
II. Deepsea 5510 controller specification
 
1. Introduction
The DSE 5510 parallel module has been designed to allow then OEM manufacturer to meet the most complicated technical requirements within the industry. DSE 5510 module can monitor the effective mains supply. When commercial power falls beyond the limits, it could start the unit and switch load automatically when commercial power supply fails. DSE 5510 module can also automatically shut down the engine and give a true first-up fault condition of an engine failure by a flashing COMMON ALARM LED. Exact failure mode information is indicated by the LCD display on the panel.
The powerful micro-processor contained within the module allows for a range of features as follows:

* Extensive range of output functions using built in relay outputs or relay expansion available

3. Control
STOP\RESET  
This pushbutton places the module into �?B>STOP\RESET�?mode. This will clear any alarms. If the engine is running and this pushbutton is operated, the module will automatically instruct the change-over device to unload the generator (Load transfer becomes active). The fuel supply will be removed and engine will be brought to a standstill. Should a remote start signal be present while operating in the mode, a remote start will not occur.
AUTO  
This pushbutton places the module into �?B>AUTO�?mode. This mode allows the module to control the genset automatically. The module will monitor the remote start input and once a start condition is signaled, the set will be automatically started and placed on load (‘Load transfer�?becomes active). If the starting signal is removed, the module will automatically transfer the load from the generator and shut down the set (observing the stop delay timer and cooling timer if necessary). The module will then await the next start event. For further details, please see the more detailed description of ‘Auto Operation�?earlier in this manual.
MANUAL  
   This pushbutton is used to allow manual control of the generator functions. Engine begins to transfer load in this mode. If the engine is running off-load in the Manual Mode and a remote start signal becomes present, the module will automatically instruct the change-over device to place the generator on load. Should the remote start signal then be removed, the generator will remain on load until either the �?B>STOP\RESET�?button or �?B>AUTO�?button should be operated.
START
   The module must be placed in the �?B>MANUAL�?mode. Press the button in manual mode, the genset will be operated with idle load. If the engine is running off-load in the Manual Mode and a remote start signal becomes present, the module will automatically instruct the change-over device to place the generator on load. Should the remote start signal then be removed, the generator will remain on load until either the �?B>STOP\RESET�?button or �?B>AUTO�?button should be operated. ALARM MUTE  
 This pushbutton is used to silence the sounder. Once the alarm has been muted and investigated it may then be cleared.
CLOSE OPERATION  
This pushbutton is used to control the closure the generator load switching device. This button is only active in MANUAL mode and has two modes of operation.  
 1. Synchronizing is not enabled. Pressing this button when the genset is running in MANUAL mode, the generator load switch is closed.
2. Synchronizing is enabled. Pressing this button, when the genset is running and in MANUAL mode, the 5510 module will volts match and synchronize with the bus-bar. The generator load switch is then closed in parallel with the Bus.
OPEN OPERATION
This button is used for open operation. This button is only active in MANUAL mode. Pressing this button when the genset is running on load, the generator load switch is opened.
 
4. PC configuration interface connector  
1.  8-way connector allows connection to PC via 810 configuration interface. Module can then be re-configured utilizing the 5XXX series configuration software.
2.  This type of connector could also be connected with 157 relay extension module or 548 LED remote alarm module.
