The Chemical Composition Design for 120mm S690QL1
In recent years ,we have strengthened the research and development of high-strength steel, to obtain orders as an opportunity , and have succeed in developing the heavy steel plate with thickness of 120mm S690QL1, the -60 °C impact power above 100J, all kinds of performances can meet the requirements of the European standard EN10025. The composition design using C, Mn plus micro-alloy control by adding the right amount of elements of Nb, V, Ti to full grain refinement, to improve the strength and toughness of the heavy steel plate, while adding the right amount of elements of Cr, Mo, Ni to improve harden ability of the heavy steel plate and low-temperature toughness. With consideration on the Composition design effects to the weld performance, so CEV and Pcm value have been reasonably controlled.

EN10025-6 60 ~ 120mm S690QL1 CEV control standards: less than or equel to 0.83; Our S690Q heavy steel plate has CEV better control. And compared with EN10025-6 standard, our CEV lower than the standard value of 0.2 or less. The lower CEV can significantly improve the Weld ability of heavy steel plate.
