Founded in 1920, locating in Jna economic development zone of Shdng province, Jna Diesel Engine Company is the only specialized manufacturer of internal combustion engines under CHNC (CHNC). Now the factory has over 3,000 workers and covers an area of 380 thousand square meters, which has 1,500 main equipments. It’s one of a key enterprise of the national engineering industry and a large enterprise. Jna D.E.C.L.
The main business of Jchi is R&D and manufacturing of internal-combustion engine, compressor, hydrodynamic drive unit, gas power integration unit and engine electrical device. Selling and service business is included as well. Jchi product has been widely used in oil drilling, marine power, power stations, locomotives, construction equipment, military etc. and equipment more than 90% domestic oil drilling teams. Besides, Jchi has supplied prime and back-up power for Party and government leading organs, navy submarine bases, spaceflight bases, mobile communication etc. Jchi product covers all domestic oil and gas fields and 32 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, export to nearly 60 countries and regions.

2. General
This project is a gas engine power plant in Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The power station Groups has a total power generation capacity of 20MW (Continues power, Requirements are:27200KW×70%=19040KW,Rtaed Power is 24MW) at the Reference Site Conditions Power and 7MW emergency diesel generator. Twenty (20) H16V190ZLT1-2 gas engine generating sets and Six (6) BH12V190ZL will be supplied to the client.
Division I of the gas generator sets can be achieved 2700KW / Unit, but this project requires that all generating units put in a container, High-power generator set cannot be installed in the container. so use the above power generating units.
The generators are capable of operating parallel with each generator set.
The gas engine generating sets will be designed to produce electric power by gen-sets H16V190ZLT1-2 manufactured by JDEC. Generating sets voltage: 3.3KV, Frequency: 50Hz, PF: 0.8pf, Speed: 1000rpm.
The diesel engine generating sets will be designed to produce electric power by gen-sets BH12V190ZL manufactured by JDEC. Generating sets voltage: 3.3KV, Frequency: 50Hz, PF: 0.8pf, Speed: 1500rpm.
3. Design condition and performance
Data design ambient condition
The equipment will be designed and constructed for operation at following conditions:
- Ambient Air temperature (blower inlet air temp.): -20℃~+50�?/DIV>
- Total barometric pressure: 1000 mbar (100m AMSL)
- Relative humidity: �?0%
Performance data at design ambient condition
- Gross Output At Generator Terminal : 1200 kW/Unit
(Tolerance +5%, Load 100%, 50 Hz, PF = 0.8 )
Under standard environmental conditions (atmospheric pressure of 100kPa, the ambient temperature: 25 ° C, the air is relatively modest 30%) with 1200kW power output capability, the unit has the ability to run continuously 1000kW conditions.
4. Fuel gas for gas engine
For continuous operation without reduction in the rated output, the fuel gas has to fulfill the below mentioned quality requirements.
In order to avoid operation problems like dating, corrosion, wear, lube oil contamination etc. the fuel gas composition must be submitted to the engine manufacturer.
The fuel is Natural gas.
Under standard environmental conditions (standard atmospheric pressure at 25 ° C, relative humidity 30%), 90% methane content in gas, water plant operation power is 1000kW situation, one unit per hour maximum air consumption is approximately 400Nm³/ h .
5.Test and inspection
(1) Shop test
Gas engine will be tested at the shop in accordance with ISO 3046 and manufacturer’s standard.
Load test
Gas engine will be coupled with a generator and will be tested using Natural Gas under the following loads and duration of test program.
Load Duration
50% 30 min.
75% 30 min.
100% 60 min.
Other test will be performed additionally as follows:
- Over speed trip test
- Engine safety device test (as per JDEC standard)
After the shop test, the engine is to be overhauled and inspected in the presence of the representative of the client for the chosen one (1) cylinder for the followings;
- Piston & connecting rod
- Cylinder liner
- Main bearing shell
- Intake and exhaust valve
(2) Site test
Client shall perform commissioning and start-up with Contractor's technical assistance. Followings shall be checked before or during commissioning;
- Installation check
- Engine & generator coupling and alignment check
- Test to prove correct operation of interlocks, alarm and tripping circuits
- Safety device check
Site performance test
After successful start-up, performance test shall be done by client under the technical assistance and guidance of contractor's supervisor(s) as follows as far as site
