1000kW MTU Gas Engine Generator Set from China
16V165N MTU gas engine generator set is modified from MTU diesel engine of MTU16V396. it has the feathers of compact in size, excellent configuration and high performance with attractive appearance. When under modification, the original diesel engine’s engine body, crank shaft, connection rod and other main parts keep unchanged, and only modification will be done to its gas feeding system, gas inlet system, combustion system, booster, starting system, ignition system, and control system. For these modifications, we have done recalculation and re-design to make sure high performance to be achieved. After modification finished, the gas engine can reach capacity of 1200kw and shaft end, and then assembled to be a 1000kw gas engine generator set suitable for using natural gas, oil refinery gas or methane gas, biogas or other combustion-able gases.
The basic configuration is of 16V, V type, four stroke, turbo charged, intercooled, electronic governor. The 16 valves are located at both sides with a 90 angle. Within the 90 angle there are main oil piping, crank shaft, inlet pressure stabilizer. Exhaust piping with cooling water assembly is located at the side of the engine. At the engine end facing the generator there are mixer, booster, intercooler. Anti-explosion is equipped at the free end of the engine. Combustion gas, air will go through booster, intercooler, speed governing valve to enter into the left and right sided pressure stable box after they are mixed by electronic controller.
Speed governor is adopted with WOODWARD2301A electronic governor, PROACT�?/SPAN> actuator and executor. The swing rod installed at the end of output shaft of the executor will control or adjust the flow the inlet mixed air through action on the pull bar to the butterfly valve. Rotating speed sensor fixed at the top of the flywheel ring gear will collect the rotation speed of the engine.
Magneto ignition system is used as ignition system in the engine, the system includes magneto motor, HV coil, HV cable, sparking plug, LV cables.

16V165 gas engine generator set is using 16V165 gas engine as the driving force with brushless three phases synchronization generator of 1FC6 506-4 under license of Siemens. The rated power is of 1000kW, frequency: 50Hz, voltage: 400V. The generator set includes of gas engine, generator, control panel, TEM electronic management system, suitable for natural gas, refinery gas, biogas, and other combustion gases.
The generator set has the ability of collecting data and also send alarms for oil and water over temperature, lube oil pressure over-difference, over temperature of engine. It also has the feathers of lower lube oil pressure. If there is over speed, the set can decouple from grid and stop the total set. It will alarm for under voltage, over current, reverse frequency, under frequency. It can adjust voltage, frequency, and can synchronize with the grid and parallel operation with each other. The unit can realize function of remote starting (starting by TEM control panel), automatic stopping (after stopping order is sent by operator, it can change to idle speed automatically, when oil and water temperature reach pre fixed level, the set will stop ).
