3. SUBMARINE OPTICAL FIBER POWER CABLE
Cable design
Conductor
The conductor shall be circular, stranded, compact annealed copper conductor
according to IEC 60228 Class 2. The number of wires stranded is not less than 36.
Conductor screen
The conductor screen consist of an extruded layer of semi-conductive compound
Insulation
The insulation consists of a extruded layer of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE).
Insulation screen
The insulation screen consist of an extruded layer of semi-conductive compound
Water-blocking tape
The water-blocking tape is covered on each phase conductor and consists of
water-blocking swelling tape.
Alloy lead sheath
Alloy lead sheath is extruded on each individual phase conductor for water-blocking
and carrying single phase to earth fault current.
PE sheath
A semi-conducting PE-sheath is applied on each conductor for improving the
mechanical properties of the lead-sheath.
Lay-up of conductor
Three conductors and fiber unit are stranded with polypropylene yarn fillers. And two
layers of tape is lapped over the assembly.
Rubber tissue bedding
A layer of rubber tissue bedding is applied on the laid-up conductor.
Armor
The armor consists of round, galvanized steel wires embedded with bitumen.
Outer sheath
The sheath consists of polypropylene yarns with bitumen compound.

Dear sir,
Here is the quotation on your submarine cable, which are designed to our experience and your preliminary data.
According to our calculation, we suggest 3*300 submarine with single length of 3.5km, and total net weight is of around 120 tons. The 3*240 can not meet the demand in both DC resistance and short circuit current data.
Quotation: Ex-manufacturer’s submarine cable port is 171666.67 USD/KM, quantity is 3.5km, so total is 600833.33USD, packing is not included.
Transportation:
Way 1.buyer’s cable paving ship moves to our factory submarine cable port, and then we will load the submarine cable to buyer’s paving ship.
Way 2: we supply a steel drum with capacity of holding 120 tons, outer diameter is 8.5 meter, inner diameter is 6 meter, height is 2 meter, the drum cost about 55000 USD. Buyer can load the drum with wired submarine cable and ship to Shanghai port to load on the large ship to destination.
