Two Phases Used Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plants of 106+172MW
First Stage of Combined cycle Gas turbine plants
The power plant was constructed in two phases. The first phase was invested March, 1987, as a combined cycle with total capacity of 106mw. and the second phase is of 172.8MW of combined cycle too.
Total equipments were imported from abroad, two units of PG6531 gas turbine gensets were made by JBE to GE technology with rated unit capacity of 36mw. And two units of single pressure natural circulation heat recovery boilers of capacity of 66T/H were manufactured by SFL, Netherland, one extraction steam turbine of 34mw was made by Siemens.
The first phase was put into operation as single cycle in 1990, and constructed as combined cycle in operation in 1991. In 1994 the fuel feed system was modified from gas system to duel system for crude oil and natural gas. The modified combined duel fuel system was synchronized to grid for supply power to gird in 1996. until 2000, the total generated power is 2328489.6MWH, total running hours of the three generating units are 107925.4 hours.
Second Phase of the gas turbine power plant
The second phase of the power plant is also a combined cycle gas turbine power plant as a captive power plant. One set of imported gas turbine genset with capacity of 116.8MW and one set of heat recovery boiler and one set of 56MW steam turbine generator set was configured as as power plant with total capacity of 172.8MW, main fuel is natural gas.
Background of Second Phase of the power plant
The gas turbine genset was PG9171E made by GEC-Alstom, of capacity of 116.8MW, heat recovery boiler of 210T/H, made by Hangzhou, one set of steam turbine genset of 56MW, made by Harbin, total capacity of the second phase is 172.8MW.
The project of the second phase was first started for construction in Oct. 2002, and put into operation in Aug. 2003. The running hours of PG9171E is about 2935.8 hours, total power generated by the combined cycle of phase two is 1.65X108kW.h.Then was shut down due to lack of fuel.

The system was designed as duel fuel system with one set of crude oil treatment system (there are three routs of crude oil treatment lines, two lines were installed, one line was not installed), one set of natural gas filtering system, one set of front oil supply skid.
Crude oil treatment system was finished for construction and commissioning in 2000, and then modified to use natural gas as main fuel, crude oil as standby fuel. In Aug. 2002 single cycle power plant was commissioned for natural gas as fuel, commissioning for crude oil is not progressed.
Gas Turbine Specification of Second Phase:
The rated speed for gas turbine sets are 3000rpm, first critical speed is 1318rpm, second critical speed is 2378rpm, third critical speed is 3891rpm, on load speed is 3300rpm.
Gas turbine booster is of axial flow type, with 17 stages.
Gas turbine turbine is of 3 stages, there are 14 combustors.
Air filter is of 3 stages.
Gas turbine control system was MK V control system, provided by GE.
Generator Specification of Second Phase:
T900B generator was made by Alston, rated power: 119.2MW, power factor is 0.85,rated voltage: 15KV, rated current: 5398A, rated speed: 3000rpm, frequency: 50HZ, phase: 3 phases, connect type for stator: Y, cooling type: air cooling
Transformer Specification:
Step up transformer type: SFP9-150000/110
150MVA; Ud=10.5%; Yn, d11; 121+-2.5%/15kV
Plant transformer for gas turbine plant type: S9-10000/15
10MVA; Ud=10.5%; D,d0; 15+-2.5%/6.3 kV
Gas turbine power plant step up transformer, plant transformer is of closed bus bas connection.
Power was evacuated by 110kv power cable to 110KV substation.
Heat Recovery Boiler of Second Phase
Heat Recovery Boiler is of double pressure, non- supplementary fuel, outdoor installation, and force circulation, type: Q1152/527-174.8(33)-5.6(0.6)/504(245).
Under oil fuel condition:
high pressure route: high pressure overheat steam flow is 175T/H, high pressure over heat pressure is 5.7MPa(a), high pressure overheat temperature is 504 C degree.
Low Pressure route, low pressure route: low pressure overheat steam flow is 34.49T/H, low pressure overheat steam pressure is 0.6MPa(a), low pressure overheat temperature is 245 C degree.
Under natural gas condition:
high pressure route: high pressure overheat steam flow is 186.8t/h, high pressure over heat pressure is 6.04MPa(a), high pressure overheat temperature is 520 C degree.
Low Pressure route, low pressure route: low pressure overheat steam flow is 32.4T/H, low pressure overheat steam pressure is 0.64MPa(a), low pressure overheat temperature is 242.7 C degree. The efficiency of the heat recovery boiler is 71.7%.
Description on Second Phase Steam Turbine Generator Set
The steam turbine is of indoor installation, single cylinder, underneath exhaust, condensing type.
Generator type: WX18Z-054, rated power 60mw, rated factor is 0.85, rated voltage is 10.5KV, rated current is 4124A, rated speed is 3000RPM, rated frequency is 50HZ, 3 phases, stator connection type: Y, air cooling.
Exciter type: WBF8-56, rated power is 275Kw, rated voltage: 230kv, rated current is 1195A, rated speed: 3000rpm.
Step up Transformer: SFP9-80000/110; 80MVA; Ud=10.5%; Yn,d11; 121+-2.5%/10.5kV
