New Northeast Electric Group High Voltage Switchgear Co., Ltd. (NHVS) is a professional electric manufacturing enterprise specialized in design, development, manufacturing and sales for high voltage, extra high voltage and ultra high voltage switchgear equipment used in the field of power transmission and distribution system. According to "China High Voltage Switchgear Industry Almanac 2009", NHVS became one of the three largest high voltage switchgear manufacturers in China in terms of production value.   The leading products of NHVS include gas insulated metal enclosed switchgears (GIS for short), SF6 circuit breakers, generator protective circuit breakers, high voltage alternative current disconnectors, totally more than 20 series, 190 types and 450 specifications, with voltages distribution from 72.5kV to 1100kV. All products are strictly manufactured as per national standards (GB) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. Meanwhile, NHVS has the qualifications for pressure capacitor design and manufacturing, and has accomplished the ISO-9001 certificate of quality system as well as national level one metering qualification. Currently, the products of NHVS have spread all over the country and are sold to many overseas countries and regions, obtaining high reputation in both domestic and foreign markets.

  With regard to technology development strategy, NHVS opts for developing route of self research & development (R&D) and innovatory technology of imported technology, including importing technology from overseas countries, cooperation with domestic research institutes and internal research and development. In 2009, NHVS successfully developed key technology and equipment for 1000kV AC power transmission and transformation. The 1000kV GIS equipment was put into operation in China’s first 1000kV high voltage power project at Nanyang Switchgear Station, and acquired "China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Special Prize" presented by China Machinery Industry Federation and China Machinery Engineering Society. In the research and development of product application, NHVS is constantly developing new products and upgrading the existing products.  So far, a new generation GIS product (i.e. mini type) has become a new production series, with superior technical parameters, smaller dimension and better performance in domestic market. NHVS also possesses complete type test facilities on research and development of high voltage switchgear, especially test chambers for high voltage insulation, mechanical performance and high current capacity of products.
