Dongfang Boiler Group Co., Ltd. (DBC) is a principal subsidiary of Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC). DEC is one of the most influential enterprise groups under the direct administration of Chinese Central Government.

DBC, with its headquarters in Zigong City, Sichuan Province and its R&D, marketing and service center in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is the first-class supplier of thermal power equipment, nuclear power equipment, environmental protection equipment, power plant auxiliaries, chemical vessels, and coal gasification equipment in China.

Founded in 1966, DBC has formed a multi-industrial business structure with its registration place in Zigong and its branches and subsidiaries distributed in Chengdu, Deyang, Jiaxing, Shenzhen and Tianjin. DBC developed 350MW~1300MW class supercritical and ultra supercritical once-through boilers, 50MW~660MW class oil/gas fired boilers, 50MW~660MW class CFB boilers, 300MW~660MW class double arch furnace boilers, medium and small boilers with the capacity of 200MW and below, heat recovery boiler, waste incineration boiler, special fuel boiler, biomass boiler, nuclear power plant equipment, high pressure heater, low pressure heater, deaerator, power plant flue gas treatment equipment, chemical vessels, coal gasification equipment, solar thermal power generation equipment, seawater desalination equipment and industrial waste water zero emission technology, which have reached the world’s advanced level. DBC is also qualified for general contracting of flue gas desulfurization and denitrification projects.

DBC has the domestic first-class R&D team and management team, a postdoctoral scientific research programme, an academician work station and a technology center of R&D and design. As a national high-tech enterprise, DBC is in possession of a national-level Test Center for Clean and High Efficiency Combustion Technology, a High Temperature, High Pressure Materials and Welding Engineering Laboratory of Machinery Industry, a Clean Combustion and Flue Gas Purification Key Laboratory of Sichuan Province, a national-level nuclear power welding examination and training center and a material research center accredited by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). DBC possesses Design & Manufacture License of Boiler Class A, Design & Manufacture License of Pressure Vessel Class A1, A2 and A3, GC2 and GC3 Level Pressure Piping Design License, national Manufacture License of Civil Nuclear Pressure-retaining Equipment, ASME Certificates of Authorization and Accreditation of Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Nuclear Power Equipment and stamps (NB,S, U, U2, N, NPT, MO, and NS), ISO 9001 QMS Certification of Registration as well as Design Certificate of Environmental Pollution Prevention and Control Project Class A.

Through incessant technological innovation, DBC has developed nearly one hundred new products and technologies, filling in the blanks of domestic thermal power, nuclear power, environmental protection and chemical vessel technologies. Among them, more than 35 technologies won the National Science and Technology Progress Awards and 106 achievements won the Science and Technology Progress Awards with provincial or ministerial level.

By the end of Dec. 31st, 2017, the utility boilers with total output capacity of nearly 349 million KW and over 179,300 tons of power plant auxiliaries had been produced and sold by DBC to 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China, reaching 30% domestic market share. Furthermore, DBC's products had been also exported to 30 foreign countries and regions.
