2660 KW / 3325 KVA ABC Dual - Fuel (Diesel & Natural Gas)
Self Contained Power Modules - Utility Grade Base Load design.
11,000 Volts @ 50 Hertz @ 1000 RPM
 
Due to unforeseen circumstances and project delay, we have available six (6) NEW ABC (Anglo Belgian Corporation) 16- DZD Dual Fuel engine driven self-contained power modules. These six units have just complete testing and ready for shipment. They are configured to provide hot water for central heating and/or operate on electric driven radiator cooler rated at 50C. Each unit is complete with paralleling switchgear and main line breaker. They can operate individually in island-mode or in utility parallel export. The units are built to provide 11,000 volts continuously at 2660KW @ 1000 RPM operating on either 100% diesel fuel or a 90% to 10% mixture of natural gas to diesel pilot fuel. This package is designed for extreme long life operation with efficiencies that are best in the field. This is a rare opportunity to buy off the shelf six complete packages (16MW) or buy individual units. Site construction is minimal as the packages are fully assembled and self-contained with very few ship loose items. The packages carry a full manufactures warranty.

Basic package
Stationary cogeneration unit 2660 kW / 3325 kVa sound attenuated power module
3-phase AC Power Rating: 11,000- V / 50 Hz
 
Container performance
- New built standard oversized portable non-standard container (12192 L X 3000 W X 3320 H);
- Container stackable at all sides;
- No part or modified part of the container will exceed the outside corner castings in any direction;
- Inside container provided with 80mm Rockwool isolation with perforated aluminium sheet;
- Drip-pan to contain 120% containment of all liquids as lube-oil, cooling water and fuel, with three drains;
- Engine room personal door on both sides with flush mounted slam shut type door handles, interior panic release handles;
- Separate engine compartment;
- All nuts are lock nuts to reduce hardware from vibrating loose;
- Existing container door at the back side;
- -4- off grounding studs (stainless steel) outside the container;
- Removable roof panels to have the possibility to dismount engine, generator and
silencer in parts, or generator set in one piece;
- Access doors at both sides of the container;
- -2- times large inspection / maintenance doors at engine side.

KVA maximum continuous @ 11,000 volts / 1000 RPM’s
Air inlet and outlet
- Air inlet at the back roof of the container, at generator set;
- Air outlet on the front roof of the container, with electrical fan with a capacity of 18kW;
- Both air ducts are provided with electrical shutters, to avoid rain en snow coming in when the unit is not running;
- The engine compartment cooling system will be sized for a maximum ambient temperature of Δt of 15⁰C above ambient temperature.
Gas system
- Container will be provided with a transfer flange, 3-inch;
- Piping from exterior connection to gas train will be out of stainless steel;
- Special pipe with automatic valve in vent line to exterior, in case of emergency
- The engine will be provided with a 3-inch gas train, provided with:
o Gas filter
o Main Valve
o Filter
o Pressure regulator
o Double solenoid valve
Air exhaust system
- Piping between exhaust gas heat exchanger and exhaust silencer will be provided with a stainless steel fitting;
- Piping will be provided with Rockwool blankets;
- The exhaust air will exit the container through one large pipe in order to reduce the air exhaust speed;
- Outlet muffler out of stainless steel and provided with a condensate drain;
- The exhaust air outlet will be provided with a stainless steel rain cap against rain;
 
Heat recovery
- In front of the engine, at the side of the large doors, will be all coolers etc. built for CHP-part;
- Heat recovery of jacket water will be done by plate heat exchanger;
- Heat recovery of intercooler will be done by separate heat exchanger;
- Heat recovery of exhaust gases will be done by tube heat exchanger out of stainless steel with fixed tubes;
- All necessary pumps, valves, thermostat valves, three-way valves and safety valves are in the system;
- All needed piping between coolers and engine will be made out of carbon steel;
- Piping between exhaust cooler and muffler will be made out of stainless steel;
- Costumer piping from coolers to costumer will be made out of carbon steel and delivered until flanges at container wall;

Vibration reducer
- The floor of the container must be defined to have a good repartition of the weight;
- Mounting of anti-vibration mounts under the gen-set;
- All connections for oil, fuel and water connections will be flexible connections.
Electrical
- Adequate DC fluorescent light with industrial-grade polycarbonate with timer switches adjacent to personal door;
- 185 Amp Driesser (or equal) 4-pole LSI motorized breaker accessory 220VAC, motorized breaker for unit output and paralleling with another engine. Connection between the two engines on copper buss-bar;
- Controls enclosure to be water tight;
- Shut off AVR at idle speed;
- External emergency stop button on each side of the container and on the control panel, adjacent to the personal doors;
- Batteries will be able to start the engine, battery capacity for five start attempts minimum;
- Long life totally maintenance free sealed batteries;
Engine and generator control
Controls for fully automatic parallel operation per set and controlled by digital controller with touch screen. Controllers shall have the ability to start and control units from remote site by meaning of a mobile connection via Internet or satellite (option not installed)

Reactive (kVAR) Control
- VAR sharing on isolated bussed using percentage based reactive load sharing;

Automatic Generator Sequencing
- Automatically starts and stops gen-set, based on plant bus or process demand;

Power output connections

- The connectors in a special case on backside of the unit and hidden behind doors, which can be closed during running the engines, without disconnecting the cables.
 
Container finish
- Container shot-blasted and sprayed in one (1) finish colour;
- 3-layer system;
- Colour Earth Green
- Bottom of the container covered with aluminium tear plate;
- Gen-set and frame will be shot-blasted in standard grey, as earlier delivered.
 
Other points
- External flush-mounted drain points for lube-oil, fuel and water, all labelled;
- Shear resistance anti-vibration mountings;
- Battery boxes for starting batteries, with covers capable of taking the weight of anybody using them as access steps (stainless steel), located in the engine compartment;
- -2- pieces of manually operated portable 12kg. CO2 fire extinguisher, mounted on bracket;
- Unit provided with full installation, part, service and workshop manuals for the
following; engine, generator, breaker and all electrical parts
- Inside personal door, a stainless steel plate showing:
o Weight with all operating fluids
o Weight without all fluids
o Engine and generator data
o Serial and order numbers
- Unit tested (with 100% load) an calibrated for -4- hours and provided with a testcertificate, CE-compliant certificate and noise report.
 
Safety and environment
- External emergency stop button on each side of the container;
- Container marked in accordance with CE-certification;
- Long life sealed batteries;
- Drip pan to contain 120% of all liquids as lube oil, cooling water and fuel.
 
The additional equipment

This package is capable of operating at a much higher efficiency than any gas turbine
package operated simple cycle. The ability of the ABC engines to produce the same power
output at elevated temperatures and elevations without reduction of KW/KVA output gives it
a tremendous advantage of its gas turbine competition which is virtually never able to
achieve its ISO rated power output due to ambient heat and elevation restrictions. ISO rated
output conditions set at 59F/15C at sea level for typical gas turbine packages. The ability of
the ABC engine to operate and produce rated KW in various operating conditions means you
are able to use the KW/KVA you paid for and not loose that effective power to ISO condition
losses which in most cases on the typical gas turbine package is between 10 to 30 % when
temperatures are above 59F/15C and even higher if conditions reach 90F/32C. At 90F/32C
the typical 15MW gas turbine package is only going to produce 12,000 KW (at 100Ft MSL or
below). This is a big factor rarely considered when comparing cost per KW/KVA and
efficiency.
This package of six units is being offered for $ 16,042,500.00 USD as a complete package of
six units complete with 50C electric driven engine coolers.
