Diesel Engine Power Plant 200MW 2 stroke diesel engine power plant
The plant is the largest Diesel Plant in the World under one roof with four sets of 50 MW 2 Stroke Diesel Engines.
The total Plant area of 29 acres accommodates the Power Plant, Sewage Treatment Plant and Fuel Oil Installations.
−DGs sets are accommodated in the area of around 1.4 Acres.
Currently Low Sulphur (<1%) Heavy Stock (LSHS) used as fuel. However diesel can also be used as a fuel.
DG Building acoustically designed to contain noise pollution.
The plant also includes waste heat recovery systems to conserve energy and fuel efficient engines with modifications to further enhance efficiency.
The 200MW Diesel Powered Plant consists of ;
−4 nos. 51.48MW Hyundai-MAN B&W make Diesel Engines
−12 nos. ABB make Exhaust Gas Turbochargers
−4 nos. ABB make 11kV generators
−1 no. Wooden Cooling Tower, capacity 7800 cum/h
−4 nos. Thermax make Waste Heat Recovery Boilers, capacity 2 x 4.5 TPH and 2X11 TPH
−1 nos. Lehmyer Germany make Sewage Treatment Plant
The diesel engines operate on residual low sulphur heavy stock (<1.0% sulphur content) fuel
