Used Gas Turbine PG6541B, PG6471B, PG6551B

Dear sir,

There are four units of used gas turbine genset of combined cycle (PG6541B, PG65301, PG6471B, PG6551B) newly floating on street for sale, if you are interested, please act quickly as soon as possible, if not, both you and us will lose the chance to get them, so many people are claiming to take them.

 1. PG6541B: 

The combined cycle gas turbine genset of PG6541B was designed and produced by GE JV in China, most of the key parts are directly supplied by GE. Generator is produced to license from Brush. Boiler was produced by Hangzhou, steam turbine genset by Nanqi. PG6541B’s capacity is of 36.6mw and total capacity is of 51.7mw.

Single cycle was installed in 1993, and combined cycle installed in 1995. In 2002, light oil system was modified to use HFO. And it shut down in Oct. 2006. Total operation hour is 60101 hours, started 4180 times, ignited 3972 times, unplanned stopped 143 times.

Preliminary quotation is 45 millions Chinese Yuan, just for indicative, would be adjusted to negotiation, payment arrangement, and demands.

2. PG5301:

 PG5301 gas turbine was made by UK’s John Brown with capacity of 23mw with annual design hours of 6000-7000 hours, annual start times: 400 times.

The plant was first relocated from Nanjing to Shenzhen, China, operated on 0# light diesel oil. In 1993, 40 tons of recovery boiler and 6000kw steam turbine gensets were coupled with the gas turbine genset, sot the total capacity as combined cycle is 29MW.

The unit was ignited 7430 times, running hours of 43554, among them operated in the first location: ignition in Nanjing 5209 times, running hours 18392 hours.

From 2001, the plant was shutdown with periodical maintenance.

3. PG6471B  

 Until now we have located two units of 6B used combined cycle gas turbine genset plants: one is PG6471B by GE, unit capacity is 36.4mw, combined HRSG is about 15mw by China Nanqi, total 51.4mw, light oil has been used for 29845.5 hours and heavy oil 422.6 hours, overhauled or maintenanced to good condition.

Profile

The preparation of the power plant started in 1995. The first phase of the project is to install a 51.4MW combined cycle turbine-generator unit, of which gas turbine capacity is 36.4MV, and steam turbine capacity 15MV, with a total investment of 20 million US dollars. The gas turbine single cycle generator unit was successfully commissioned in December 1996, and the steam turbine generator unit was put into operation in July 1997. The Units own the advantages of fast start-up and high thermal efficiency, which makes it possible to reach the full load from stand-by just a little more than 10 minutes. The Plant has been generating 1269.08422MKW (of which 23.2749MKW was generated after heavy oil renovation), making contribute to releasing the power shortage of Zhejiang Province.

Equipment condition

Up to now, the equipment has been running well, which consists of the following:

The gas turbine, PG6471B, was made by China Nanqi Group, of which the core parts were imported from GE Company. Formerly, 0# diesel was used as the fuel and the unit ran smoothly for 10 years without major equipment failures. Due to the rapid rising of international oil price, the cost couldn’t maintain the ordinary generation. So the plant spent 1 million US dollars on the heavy-oil renovation in 2005, which was conducted by Shanghai Power Generating Equipment Company. After the renovation, the generation cost was rapidly decreased, which laid sound foundation for the further development of the Plant. Up to now, the total number of start-up has reached 2057, and light oil has been used for 29845.5 hours and heavy oil 422.6 hours. Strictly conforming to the GE standards, the plant has conducted three routine overhauls and medium maintenance, focusing on the periodical check and maintenance of the unit. During the overhauls, some technical innovations were conducted to some parts, which improved the economical efficiency and liability of the gas turbine.

The main spare parts of the gas turbine are complete.

The spare parts supplied together with the unit and some expendable spare parts are also available.

The steam turbine, N15-3.43, has operated for 26067.29 hours since it was put into operation on 10th June, 1997. During this ten-year operation, the unit was examined, repaired and renovated four times, of which the routine maintenance was conducted in the years of 1998, 2000 and 2004. In June 2002, three-dimensional renovation was applied to the unit, which replaced all interior parts except speed control system, ratchet system and cylinder. After the renovation, the steam consumption rate has been no more than 4.138KG/KW.H

As for boiler, Q387/498-55-3.82/445, annual inspection and repair are applied only to the water pump, fan, expansion joint and boiler body due to the simple construction of the heat recovery system. In 2002, as a part of the three dimensional renovation of the gas turbine, two new shields were installed at economizer and the shield of the super-heater was replaced.

The electric part mainly consists of two outgoing lines connected through 110kV gapping switch. The two lines both adapt computer protection system (RCS-941A) made by Nanrui Relay Protection Company. The 110kV CB is of SW4-110-3II oil-minimum. The main transformer is of SF8-63000/110 no load regulating. The tree auxiliary transformers of the 10kV section are of S7-1250/10、S7-800/10、S7-1250/10 no-load regulating respectively. The 1# generator is of QFR-36-2 with its 10kV ZN12-10 CB, and the 2# generator is of QF-15-2 with its 10kV ZN28A-10 CB. All these main devices are operating well.

The specialized water for oil chemistry is from river and is mixed with coagulant. The water is coagulated and filtered by water processor. The make-up water for production is treated through demineralization. The rate of discharge of the both devices is 19.6t/h, which form a parallel linked system. There is a middle scale oil chemistry lab and a imported oil analysis spectrometer, which can analyze micronutrient levels and condenser point and flash point to ensure the oil quality.

Analysis of availability

Due to the fact that the gas turbine, steam turbine and boiler have all operated for less than 30000 hours and been carefully maintained, they run soundly and still have a long time to reach their service life limits. Additionally, the following reasons contribute to their higher values:

The gas turbine consistently uses 0# diesel oil, not heavy oil, so the core parts and important auxiliary parts suffer very little corrosion damage. And all the spare parts are complete.

A three-dimension renovation was conducted on the gas turbine in 2002, and almost all the interior parts were replaced by new ones and so its efficiency was increased.

The economizer and some super-heaters of the boiler were also replaced by new ones in 2002 to further raise its thermal efficiency.

 �The existing equipment is flexible to be fed with diesel oil or heavy oil, or even natural gas after small modification.

The advantages of gas turbine power plant are: short construction period, less land resources, less fixed investment per kilowatts, and fast start-up and stop and so on. It is also clean and environmentally friendly.

The construction period, from the date of the arrival of the equipment to the operation date after commissioning, is about half a year. Taking into the consideration of building foundation and workshop, the whole construction is normally less than one year.

The gas turbine power plant also has flexibility to choose its site. If natural gas is used as the fuel, the plant even can be built in urban; if oil is used, then the plant normally is built in the suburbs A land of about 33,000km2 is enough for a set of combined cycle turbine generator. It will be much better if there are some rivers or lakes around to supply water to the unit though the required water quantity is not big. Also, natural gas pipes should be conveniently connected to the plant.

Natural gas is the best choice for the gas turbine for its cleanness and low cost. 1m3 natural gas can produce 4kW.h electricity, and the price of natural gas is lower than that of oil now.

If our equipment is used to build a 50000kW Power plant, the fixed investment per kW is about 280 dollars, which is much less than that of a power plant using new equipment. It is only about one third of that of a small scale coal-burring station or hydraulic plant. Besides of its short construction period, this is an obvious advantage to build a power plant in areas rich in natural gas.

Our gas turbine is started up by diesel, so it also can be used as an independent power supply where other electric sources are not available.

4. Plant two: Alstom gas turbine genset of PG6551B

Another plant is: PG6471B made by GE JV in China Nanqi, running around 34522 hours.

Alstom gas turbine genset of PG6551B of capacity 37MW, with HRSG QFWL-18-2 of 18mw from Nanqi, boiler from Hangzhou’s Q395/537-66(11)-3.53(0.34)/44 with 65 tons capacity recovery boiler, Germany ALFA-LAVAL 20 tons of HFO treatment system, six units of transformers: one unit of main transformer SF8-50000/110, one unit of main transformer of SF8-25000/110, plant transformer of SZ8-3150/10, start/standby transformer of SZ8-3150/110, two units of LV plant transformer of SC-2000/6

Put into operation in Sept. 29, 1997, and shutdown in Aug. 2007, now in maintenance, total operation hours of 34522, among which with HFO for 30272.7 hours, light diesel oil for 4239.7 hours, started 2854 times, shutdown times: 238, ignition times: 2793, ignition failure times: 61.

The gas turbine have been overhauled three times, the last overhaul done in Jan. 2006, after last time overhaul operation hour is 921 hours,.
